Job Title: Logistics Specialist I
Pay Rate: $25.50/hr
Location: Parker, CO 80112
Job Type: 12-month Contract
Start Date: Right Away
**This role requires that you are able to obtain a Secret Clearance**
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.
Support routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals.
Track logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities.
Learn applicable state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements.
Physical / Mental / Emotional Requirements
Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.
Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motions many times, requiring finger and hand dexterity.
Frequently requires vision abilities: close, distance, depth perception, and color discrimination.
Occasionally requires hearing abilities: discerning different tones and volumes.
Frequently lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow).
Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
Occasionally exposed to loud noises.
Safety Sensitive Position
Responsible for the safety and security of people or property.
Inspects, handles or transports explosives, dangerous or hazardous materials.
Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles.
Performs aviation related duties.
Operates or supervises vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery.
Key Skills
Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Must be able to obtain a Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
HazMat Training/Certification.
Ability to operate a Forklift.
Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
Understanding of Shelf Life.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
