Supervisor – 4th Shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5:00 pm – 5:30 am

Job Summary Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Supervisor manages day‑to‑day production scheduling, ensuring the effective and efficient deployment of resources—materials and manpower—to meet production and customer requirements in accordance with policies, and in the most economical and safe manner suitable to the operation.

Main Responsibilities

Personnel: daily supervision of hourly workers (rotating with the same crew), opening and closing plant, training employees on ISO 90001, 14001, safety, equipment operation and WHMIS.

Motivate employees to perform at their best and work with the Manager to manage performance, recruit and interview production personnel.

Operations: manage daily work orders to completion, assign tasks, manage finished goods warehouse, monitor times for efficiency, verify timesheets, maintain production quality (Nefab, customer, ISO 9001, 14001), perform quality inspections, schedule machine maintenance, keep tools orderly, practice good housekeeping, assist in planning and scheduling, provide input for budgets, interface with engineers, manage Nefab delivery trucks.

Production Planning/Administration: generate and issue Customer Work Orders and drawings, review documentation, work with engineering on modifications, coordinate production flow, analyze documents to develop action plans, interface with contractors, suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders, assign workloads, determine training needs, expedite work progress, and coordinate shipping/receiving activities.

Maintain knowledge of plant equipment outputs and process capabilities, understand people training requirements, ensure worker safety, plan production activities to meet deadlines.

Minimum Experience and Education Requirements Education : Technical degree, Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience :

2–3 years’ supervisory experience in a logistics environment.

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings/documents.

Experience with steel, wood, corrugate, foam or other traded materials.

Enforcing the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Languages

Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Health and Safety and Environmental Obligations Job responsibilities include physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs unassisted, handling hand tools, and using safety equipment. Reasonable accommodations are available.

Work environment: normal office and plant conditions (noise >90 dB, variable temperatures, dust). Personal Protection Equipment is provided. The role involves cyclical and daily stress, frequent goals and deadlines, and potential weather exposure while working outside.
