About The Position The Small Business Support Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality service and operational support to small business members and internal teams. This role focuses on assisting business members with their financial needs, including account management, transactional functions, and product inquiries. The specialist also supports front-line staff by delivering expertise in small business banking products, ensuring seamless service delivery and adherence to regulatory requirements. Through proactive relationship management, this position helps drive small business member retention, deepen product penetration, and enhance the overall banking experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Assist small business members with account management.
Provide accurate and timely response to member inquiries related to small business banking products, services, and account maintenance.
Ensure all transactions are conducted efficiently, securely, and in compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell small business banking products, including business checking, savings, treasury management, and lending referral solutions.
Educate members on financial solutions that align with their business needs to increase product utilization and deepen relationships.
Support front-line staff by providing product expertise and guidance on how to effectively position small business services to members.
Assist internal teams in resolving small business account issues and ensuring smooth operational workflows.
Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards related to business banking operations.
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping to support risk management and audit processes.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with small business members by providing proactive support and personalized service.
Act as a liaison between small business members and internal departments to facilitate seamless service delivery.
Support ongoing initiatives to improve the member experience, enhance efficiency, and optimize business banking processes.
Qualifications
2+ years experience in banking, financial services, or customer support, preferably with small business accounts.
Knowledge of small business banking products, services, and regulatory compliance.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities and educate members on financial solutions.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work collaboratively.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of your job, you may regularly be required to sit and use a keyboard, multiple monitors, mouse, and telephone (including repetitive motions with hands, fingers, arms, etc.) for extended periods of time. You may also frequently be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, bend, and kneel.
You may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Location and Travel Requirements The Small Business Support Specialist position can be located in Reno or Carson City. Greater Nevada Credit Union's Reno Operations Center location: 9790 Gateway Drive, Reno, NV 89521 United States. Greater Nevada Credit Union's Eagle Station Location: 451 Eagle Station Lane, Carson City, NV 89701 United States.
Compensation & Benefits
$48,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year (Compensation is dependent on experience)
Medical, dental, and vision plans, where we cover 90% of employee costs and about 75% of the costs for their dependents.
Health Savings Account contributions.
Supplemental insurance and life insurance plans.
Paid time off, including vacation and sick time, 12 annual paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 1 floating wellness day and sabbatical leave after every seven years of employment.
