Plant Manager – Manufacturing Operations Are you a hands‑on manufacturing leader who enjoys owning the operation from the floor to the front office? A well‑established and growing manufacturer near Rockford, IL is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee and lead day‑to‑day plant operations while driving performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
Lead all daily manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, quality, safety, and shipping
Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable for performance, output, and standards
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost control, and on‑time delivery
Partner with leadership on production planning, staffing, and capital projects
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability across the facility
Monitor KPIs and take proactive action to address issues and improve results
Qualifications
Proven experience managing a manufacturing plant or production operation
Background in aerospace, automotive, machining, or plastic injection molding is preferred
Strong leadership presence with the ability to engage teams at all levels
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, scheduling, and lean or continuous improvement principles
