Housing Coordinator
Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) is seeking a Housing Coordinator to provide assertive engagement and supportive services to low income and at-risk families. The role reports to the Housing Manager and will be based at the Community and Family Program building, 2205 N.E. Columbia Blvd., Portland, OR 97211.

Base Pay Range $24.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Responsibilities
Provides Assertive Engagement Case Management for a caseload of individuals in need of housing placement.
Assists clients with housing, housing retention, educational and employment supports, and access to other community programs.
Develops client-centered case plans to remove barriers to housing, education, and employment with the goal of assisting clients to increase self-sufficiency.
Screens for eligibility and administers rental assistance funds.
Provides community education and resource services.
Advocates and negotiates with government agencies and other community partners on behalf of clients.
Identifies, builds, and maintains effective relationships with landlords, property managers, and community resources.
Maintains files and documentation as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or in a related field and/or 5 years of case management experience.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Experience conducting needs assessments and initiating support services.
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people of varying social, economic, and education levels.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to motivate and connect with others.
Highly organized, self‑motivated, and effective time‑management skills.
Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions, rules, and procedures; able to work independently and be a vital and contributing part of a team.
Excellent computer skills; experience using ServicePoint and/or Excel software a plus.
Current and valid Oregon driver’s license in good standing with no insurability restrictions, and must be insurable under SEI’s auto insurance policy.
