Tariff Import/Export Coordinator Hybrid – Franklin, TN (3 days onsite)
Responsibilities
Review and validate import and export documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
Coordinate customs clearance activities through brokers or self-brokerage processes
Determine and apply correct
HTS and tariff classifications
for imported products
Partner with vendors, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to manage shipment execution
Resolve customs clearance issues, discrepancies, and documentation errors quickly
Prepare and submit commercial documents for import and export shipments
Audit vendor and freight invoices and resolve billing discrepancies
Maintain accurate records for audit readiness and compliance
Enter shipment data into systems for tracking, visibility, and reporting
Support internal and external audits as needed
Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and workflows
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Business Operations, or a related field
Hands‑on experience with
import/export operations and customs processes
Working knowledge of
tariff classification, HTS codes, and trade compliance requirements
Experience using
ACE or similar customs and trade systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Comfortable communicating with brokers, forwarders, vendors, and internal teams
Organized, self‑directed, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment
Proficiency with MS Office, ERP systems, and supply chain software
