Pay range Base pay range: $33.00/hr - $36.00/hr

Salary includes all applicable annual components: Base Pay Range from Hiring Rate $29.51 up to Job Rate $31.95, Location Pay: $0.85 for Mid-Hudson, Recruitment & Retention Pay: $3.37.

Responsibilities Responsible for the maintenance, operation and repair of plumbing equipment. While the employee will mostly work on plumbing equipment, they may also be required to work on mechanical, refrigeration, HVAC, and general building repair.

Qualifications Four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.

Candidate will be required to obtain a Class B permit issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles within 30 days of appointment and must obtain a Class B license as a condition of satisfactory completion of the probationary period.

Preferred candidate will have experience working under a journey level plumber or have apprenticeship training in the plumbing trade. Preferred experience includes the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial plumbing systems and fixtures. The preferred candidates will also have some experience in other recognized skilled trades such as electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
