Job Summary
The House Operations Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day Front of House activities and the planning and execution of events held in the Music Performance Theater (MPT), the premier theater destination on the RIT campus. The role oversees venue conversions and event set‑ups while supervising student staff led by Front of House Managers, Supervisors, and Ushers. The manager collaborates closely with Box Office and Concessions operations to ensure a seamless, high‑quality patron experience and upholds exceptional customer service standards. Job Responsibilities
Event Management
Plan and execute events in MPT, coordinating with venue clients and defining event needs. Determine, control, and adjust Front of House staffing levels. Procure all internal and external services required for events. Manage staff to guarantee a first‑rate experience for all patrons. Oversee audience arrival and departure, focusing on accessibility and safety. Share manager‑on‑duty responsibility for event‑day logistics and contracted services.
