Summary The Supply Chain Analyst is an integral part of the DSV Lead Logistics team and is responsible for supporting inbound and outbound transportation operations throughout the accounts Value Chain. Responsibilities include metric generation, network analysis, and project management for the account. This is a service-oriented role, designed to increase the control of the Value Chain.

Duties and Responsibilities

Accepts accountability for client transportation functions in North America.

Reports on project progress and manages customer expectations.

Identifies and quantifies potential supply chain improvements, or internal efficiency opportunities, and leads the implementation.

Identifies and quantifies cost savings opportunities and leads the implementations.

Manages multiple projects simultaneously.

Manages complex organizational issues involving customer's various functional areas, and assists in identifying mode optimization opportunities.

Develops and maintains tools used to quantify a project's impact on costs.

Generates weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics:

Identifying and providing analysis of metric trends

Initiating action plans to address negative and positive trends.

Develops a strong knowledge of the customer's supply chain, and cost drivers in the network.

Presents and defends findings and analysis to the customer.

Supports building carrier relationships at the local level:

Assists in facilitating quarterly carrier reviews.

Supports Carrier Services activities:

Contracting

Carrier searching and qualifying

Carrier rate negotiations

Supports Freight Payment and Operations groups:

Assists in resolving invoicing issues.

Drives standardization in invoicing.

Supports warehousing operations with carriers as needed.

Assists in training and improving team member's analytical skills.

Educational background / Work experience

College degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred, or experience in lieu of education.

A minimum of 1 year of industry or related experience.

A minimum of 1 year of experience with LTL, TL, intermodal modes, and international freight management.

Language skills

English (reading, writing and verbal)

Computer Literacy

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint).

Solid analytical experience in Excel required

Mathematical Skills

General mathematics skills

Position requires strong mathematical skills for project development

For this position, the expected base pay range is $61,000 - $82,500 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
