Your New Role… Responsible for the oversight of the Custodial Services department, assisting the Manager, Supervisor, and team leads in the day‑to‑day operations and cleaning of office space, retail stores, museums, food services venues, and public restrooms. Assists departments such as Studio Services, Operations, Gardening, Labor, and Special Events. Helps manage 95+ union janitors—including onboarding, compliance training, review of field work, quality control, performance reviews, and reporting of issues to management. The Supervisor works closely with Studio Services, Office Services building managers, and Operations managers to ensure work requests are completed to tenants’ satisfaction. Quality assurance includes job site inspection and staff training. The position also helps order supplies, tracks time and attendance, handles payroll, schedules, measures department performance and productivity, and manages special projects as needed.
This position is a 12‑month project‑hire assignment.
This role will be working during our overnight shift: 6 pm–2:30 am with potential weekend work.
Your Role Accountabilities… Day‑to‑day operations, customer service support, and follow‑up. Works with the Manager to assign work, review time off, and resolve any scheduling or staffing conflicts. Ensures custodians report to their assigned work areas on time, have the proper equipment, supplies, and training to perform all required tasks satisfactorily, and maintain consistent service levels.
Handles weekly payroll sheets and attendance records for personnel. Provides employee counseling on work hours, attendance, attitude, work ethic, productivity, customer relations, time off, etc. Collaborates with Human Resources, Labor Relations, and direct reports on hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Performs daily inspections to identify and address potential maintenance problems. Meets with direct reports, building managers, tenants, and department management to ensure adequate service levels.
Identifies cost‑reduction opportunities—including validation of the most cost‑effective use of personnel, equipment, material, and supplies—implements approved changes, establishes benchmarks, and captures cost savings identified.
Establishes productivity standards and implements continuous measurement systems to determine the levels of quality required and the levels of quality provided by personnel as well as contracted vendors. Creates, updates, and maintains departmental guidelines and procedures manuals. Monitors adherence.
Liaises with other WBS0 departments (e.g., Studio Services, Office Services, Operations, Studio Tour Hollywood, Productions, Special Events, Gardening, etc.) to provide services as needed and plan and implement services for new clients and buildings.
Qualifications & Experience…
3‑5 years supervisory experience, payroll, and other departmental expenditures strongly preferred.
Experience hiring and managing union employees, including evaluating work performance, counseling, coaching, and terminations strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Identify prior work experience necessary to perform the assigned duties.
3‑5 years experience working in a large, multi‑shift, multi‑facility organization required.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook required; knowledge of other PC‑based applications preferred.
Demonstrated ability to problem‑solve.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
Solid communication, people, and organization skills.
Strong customer service skills with dedication to customer satisfaction.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and personnel.
Must be proactive and capable of assuming additional responsibility as necessary.
Must be able to work extended hours and/or non‑traditional shifts.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to perform field inspections and stand for long periods of time.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $47,611.00 – $88,421.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards. Warner Bros.
