Your Impact Project Management
Manage transportation design projects for FDOT, the Central Florida Expressway Authority, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, counties, and municipalities.
Direct or develop project design documentation including typical section packages, pavement design reports, design exceptions and variations, and specifications.
Prepare engineering calculations, quantities, and cost estimates.
Maintain project documentation, monitor schedules, budgets, and scope.
Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures.
Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, sub‑consultants, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality.
Plan resources and manage team to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Business Development and Marketing
Attend client meetings, develop design concepts, provide content for proposals, and prepare presentations.
Develop and nurture client relationships with existing and new clients.
Lead or assist in the preparation of scope of services and fee proposals.
Participate in industry forums and conferences to promote Lochner and our transportation practice.
Staff Management
Establish, manage, and expand an office in Central Florida.
Utilize staff effectively to perform tasks efficiently and deliver high‑quality service.
Hire, supervise, develop, and evaluate engineering support staff.
Who You Are
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
8+ years of experience, with 3+ years managing projects; experience managing FDOT projects preferred.
Professional Engineer license in Florida.
Business development and marketing experience in Florida.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self‑motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Familiarity with the FDOT Design Manual (FDM), FDOT Standard Plans, and other roadway/highway design standards.
Proficient with OpenRoads Designer and FDOT Connect.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
