Southern Lumber is an 85 year-old family business that supplies building materials, windows and doors, and custom millwork to home builders around Charleston.
We are growing and looking for an eager to learn, detail oriented, hard working individual to join our window and door team!
About the Role The Window and Door Coordinator is responsible for quoting, ordering, scheduling, tracking, and delivering windows, doors, and associated materials for residential and commercial projects. The position ensures precision in product specifications and provides key support to the outside sales team.
Hours are 7:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, so you can enjoy your nights and weekends!

Key Responsibilities Quoting
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for windows, doors, and related accessories.
Generate customer quotes, proposals, and bid packages within required timelines.
Apply pricing structures, discounts, and manufacturer programs appropriately.
Update estimates when project changes, revisions, or value-engineering options arise.
Order Management & Coordination
Prepare and place accurate orders with manufacturers and suppliers.
Verify product lead times, pricing, and availability.
Track orders from purchase through delivery and address delays or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate order files, delivery documents, and change orders.
Scheduling & Logistics
Coordinate delivery schedules with project managers, site supervisors.
Communicate any changes that impact scheduling.
Preferred skills
Experience in construction, building materials, or window/door industry.
Strong understanding of window and door components, terminology.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with order management software, spreadsheets.
Work Environment
Office-based.
Frequent communication with suppliers, installers, and project teams.
