Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION Yard Driver- CDL
Summary/Objective
Drive gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to transport and deliver products, or materials in loose, or packaged form. Use yard tractor to shuttle trailers and/or containers around the yard, and in and out of dock doors at Shipping/Receiving by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions
Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required.
Comply with Sunny Delight Beverage’s policies and procedures.
Perform safety checks on all equipment.
Complete daily yard inventory of trailers and ensure the yard is kept organized.
Set up shipping with empty trailers for load out, remove loaded trailers, and stage them in the yard drop area.
Load and unload shuttles whenever needed.
Set up receiving dock with inbound dropped trailers and move trailers as needed to the yard drop area.
Keep the trailer yard clean and clear of debris that would cause any safety concerns. Coordinate and advise on truck or trailer repairs.
Safely maneuver a tractor and trailer combination vehicle in a compact yard area.
Shuttle product to Saddle Creek as well as pick up and deliver bottles from CCC and CKS.
Perform safety checks on all equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED.
1-3 years Shipping/receiving experience required.
2-3 years forklift experience.
CDL Class A license required.
3+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
Good backing skills.
Good customer service & teamwork skills.
Good physical condition; must be able to get in and out of trucks several times per day.
Able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
No DUI/DWI, careless/reckless driving citations or revoked/suspended license in the past 5 years.
No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years.
Current DOT medical card.
