Sage
About Us
Sage is on a mission to improve care and quality of life for older adults, starting with those residing in senior living communities. Falls are the leading cause of injury‑related death among adults over 65, yet current prevention and emergency response systems are outdated and ineffective. Sage has built a modern approach to detecting when older adults need help and ensuring caregivers can respond quickly and reliably. Our mission is to create products that our partners love—and this role is core to that goal.
About This Role You will work closely with our Business Development Lead to shape Sage’s commercial motion—helping refine how we enter new markets, accelerate land‑and‑expand, and structure the sales organization for scale. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role suited for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and relationship‑building, and who understands the nuances of selling into senior living.
This role is based in the East Coast region but will require regular travel to our New York headquarters, customer sites, and industry events up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive nationwide growth and support corporate revenue objectives
Represent Sage at major industry conferences and events to identify new business opportunities and deepen ecosystem relationships
Help shape the structure of the sales organization at regional and functional levels as we expand
Take ownership of regional KPIs, providing accurate forecasting and establishing high‑performance sales expectations
Drive investments in sales training, enablement tools, and sales operations
Build and nurture professional networks to surface new partnerships and opportunities
Manage sales data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
Support the planning and execution of sales campaigns, promotions, and GTM initiatives
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success to ensure a tightly aligned commercial motion
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of new‑logo sales experience with a proven track record of top performance in SaaS
Strong strategy development, project management, and problem‑solving skills
Comfortable navigating ambiguity; proactive owner who drives initiatives to completion
Genuine passion for Sage’s mission to improve care for older adults and the caregivers who support them
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling directly to owners and operators within Senior Living
Understanding of how real estate and operations interact in Senior Living, including key value drivers
Experience in value‑based care, care delivery innovation, or adjacent healthcare models
Benefits and Pay Our headquarters are located in New York City’s Union Square, and we value cross‑team collaboration and in‑person connection. We encourage participation from all team members—great ideas can come from anywhere. While we take our mission seriously, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We host offsites, outings, and team meals to stay connected as people. We offer office lunch, a fully stocked snack bar, and an in‑office culture with flexibility for remote work.
We provide competitive base compensation along with stock options and an incentive bonus tied to revenue targets (TBD). The expected annual salary range for this role is $150,000–$175,000 USD, depending on experience and interview performance. We offer fully paid health and dental coverage, plus vision insurance, premium primary and urgent care memberships, online health providers, unlimited PTO (“take what you need”), seven paid holidays, and a company‑wide winter break.
EEO Statement Sage is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We prohibit discrimination and harassment based on race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic under federal, state, or local laws. This policy applies to all employment practices, including hiring, promotion, termination, compensation, benefits, training, and apprenticeships.
