Job Description
As a Logistics Analyst II here at Solstice, you will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and supporting all aspects of transportation, distribution, and supply chain operations. This role evaluates data, identifies trends, improves processes, and ensures compliant, cost‑effective movement of materials across road, rail, ocean, and intermodal networks. The analyst works closely with planning, procurement, dispatch, customer service, and carriers to drive operational efficiency and enhance service performance.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze transportation performance (on‑time delivery, transit times, etc.) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Perform root‑cause analysis on service failures, accessorial, delays, or exceptions.
Identify cost‑reduction opportunities without compromising service.
Support daily rail, truckload, LTL, ocean, and hazmat shipment flows.
Monitor load status, carrier performance, detention, demurrage, and equipment utilization.
Assist in planning railcar and equipment supply, ensuring fleet balance and compliance with test dates, inspections, and maintenance cycles.
Review and validate BOLs, customs documents, export filings, and shipment accuracy.
Maintain and optimize TMS/ERP data (SAP, Yardmaster, Navisphere).
Build and run reports from systems such as SAP.
Support automation, EDI improvement, and digital workflow enhancements.
Ensure adherence to DOT, FMCSA, FRA, EPA, OSHA, 49 CFR, and customs requirements.
Maintain documentation accuracy (BOL, hazmat, classifications, UN numbers, packing groups, weight limits).
Support internal audits, SOP updates, and process compliance checks.
Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements across dispatch, scheduling, and carrier operations.
Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
Develop SOPs, standard workflows, and training materials for internal teams.
Work closely with customer service on order management, delivery expectations, and service escalations.
Coordinate with plant operations, warehouse, and carriers to align production with shipping schedules.
Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost saving opportunities.
Coordinate transportation methods and select the most efficient and cost‑effective options.
Negotiate contracts with carriers and logistics service providers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Implement strategies to streamline logistics operations and minimize transportation costs.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth operations and on‑time deliveries.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the efficiency of distribution processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2–5 years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain analytics experience.
Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and ERP/TMS systems.
Knowledge of transportation modes (truck, rail, ocean) and regulatory requirements.
Ability to interpret large data sets, create reports, and present findings.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Compensation The annual base salary range for this position is $70,610k - $88,320k. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
