Project Manager Located in Roanoke, VA; Southwest VA area; Winston Salem, NC; Charlotte, NC. Full‑time, exempt, reports to Project Manager Team Lead.

Base Pay Range $65,000.00 /yr – $70,000.00 /yr

Summary Of Position The Project Manager (PM) owns the fulfillment of assigned projects, exceeding the expectations of the customer, and ensuring profit protection. The PM manages the order process of educational fixtures and furniture for our clients through order entry, delivery scheduling, installation coordination, onsite project management, and punch‑list processing. The PM leads by influence, detailed planning, coordination, and communication with customers, vendors, installers, and the Studio team, overseeing all tasks, critical dates, budget, and project administration for each assigned project.

Essential Responsibilities Project Planning, Coordination and Management

Attend project meetings to establish scope with the Studio Team and manage the project from PO through completion.

Collaborate with the Studio Team to deliver an exceptional customer journey.

Direct, coordinate, and manage tasks, assignments, and completion for the entire studio and project team.

Coordinate with the studio team to develop work plans, schedule, and logistics based on project parameters, scope, and customers’ goals.

Review project site, plans, and product specifications.

Work with the Studio team of designers and Project Coordinators to ensure complete turnover of all project information.

Act as a single point of contact for client and suppliers.

Communicate proactively and effectively with customers, providing detailed project updates.

Project Administration

Maintain detailed project documentation of key decisions, including customer requests and revisions.

Provide timely, formal written communications throughout the project to client, third parties, and the Meteor project team.

Manage accurate record keeping, including documentation, timesheets, contract adherence, sign‑offs, and approvals.

Maintain Insights in concert with the Learning Environment Specialist to ensure current information is represented to the customer during and after installation.

Project/Installation Implementation

Coordinate with the Studio Project Coordinator and Learning Environment Specialist under standardized practice through the Best Practice Leader.

Collaborate with the Studio Team to deliver an exceptional customer journey.

Perform on‑site leadership, strategic site visits, and attend walk‑throughs as required.

Supervise site furniture and fixture installation, ensuring quality and timeliness.

Keep current with the ERP database, acknowledgments, and delivery dates; engage in continuous follow‑up and expedite freight.

Manage and provide instruction to Meteor logistics regarding freight costs and delivery schedules.

Review open projects and unbooked sales reports weekly, ensuring forecasted dates are current.

Ensure all proof of delivery documents and field paperwork are submitted promptly.

Frequent and/or overnight travel is required.

Punch and Project Close‑Out

Perform project walk‑through and develop a punch list with the third‑party installer and resolve it.

Confirm project completion.

Manage all final project close‑out requirements, including contract and client sign‑offs.

Coordinate with billing and ensure timely submission of invoices.

Information Technology (IT) Requirements

Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Proficiency in Salesforce software.

Attend training within the first 30 days of employment and develop proficiency with Meteor‑specific software, including Insights Customer Portal and ERP.

Requirements

College degree or equivalent work experience.

MVR check required; must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Strong knowledge of all aspects of project management—including account management, order management, installation, relocation, and project administration.

Project Management accreditation is a plus (PMP).

Exceptional customer service skills and ability to lead and manage third parties.

Excellent written and communication skills.

Proven ability to multi‑task while managing timelines and deadlines.

Critical thinking, quick decision‑making, and problem‑solving ability.

Strong attention to detail.
