Description

Verifies incoming documentation matches information on bearing components.

Visuals components using required scribes and magnification both before and after repair.

Measures components using required measuring devices and tooling.

Determines acceptance or rejection of components.

Provides machine operators with information on material removal.

Performs identification etchings on bearings using air pencil.

Ensures that the inspection tools and equipment are in proper working order and the proper calibration affixed before use.

Understands the current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer of the articles being inspected.

Actively supports company’s 5S activities.

Follows all plant safety regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to details

Capable of using Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to read/write/speak English

Ability to work independently in a high stress environment

Must Have Special Requirements

Candidates must pass a near vision eye test to Jaeger 1 and a color perception test.

Candidate must be able to use calipers, micrometers, and other gages to measure bore, outer diameter, and other dimensions as required.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
