OPERATIONS - SENIOR PROPERTY MANAGER

Highly motivated, goal‑focused, customer‑oriented team member needed to manage multiple self‑storage facilities. This role offers a salary of $23.00–$24.00 per hour. The manager will oversee approximately five locations within a 20‑mile area and will be required to work onsite five days per week, including at least one Saturday per month. Must live within 20 miles of the area or be willing to relocate within the specified region.
Job Overview
Oversee overall management of multiple self‑storage facilities, supervise an average of five locations with one or more employees each, and maintain regular on‑site presence as per rotating schedule.
Foster a culture that demonstrates NSA values of integrity, accountability, humility, and compassion.
Host and attend scheduled and ad‑hoc virtual meetings (weekly, bi‑weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually).
Create monthly schedules to support business needs and cover shifts when necessary.
Ensure store staffing, cleanliness, customer service, and call handling.
Partner with Recruiting to interview and select new hires.
Develop, performance‑manage, and mentor team members to deliver excellent customer service and retain customers.
Ensure completion of new‑hire and ongoing training by each employee.
Enforce compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and financial goals.
Conduct monthly audits at each store to verify accurate bank records, tenant accounts, and policy adherence.
Conduct monthly auctions and ensure compliance with state lien laws.
Review and monitor maintenance and capital expenditures to keep assets in good condition.
Oversee contract and license obligations.
Position Requirements
All work must be performed in accordance with safety regulations and applicable safety policies and standards.
Physical activity: extensive walking, stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, cutting property locks, cleaning units, and other duties; ability to handle inclement weather and outdoor conditions.
Travel by car to storage facilities within the support area; ability to travel by rental or personal vehicle; possible airplane travel; must be physically present on site five days per week per rotating schedule.
Multi‑unit property management experience preferred.
Experience managing a team of employees.
Excellent time‑management and multi‑tasking skills with a disciplined calendar and scheduling cadence.
Strong customer service, sales, phone, organizational, and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI).
Accurate record‑keeping, filing, and math skills; cash‑handling experience.
Reliability on camera during virtual meetings.
Reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license and insurance.
Clean criminal background check.
Work Monday‑Friday 9 am–6 pm and at least one Saturday per month 9 am–5 pm; on‑call possible for off‑Saturday/ Sunday shifts.
