Purpose of Position The FOQA Program is a FAA‑approved initiative designed to improve aviation safety by providing insight into flight operations through automated recording and analysis. The Gatekeeper is responsible for identifying flights that may require crew contacts, conducting those contacts, and ensuring all information is held in strict confidence.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Ensure confidential handling of identified information.
Identify flights for crew contacts in collaboration with the FOQA Team.
Conduct crew contacts professionally and achieve objectives set by the FOQA Monitoring Team.
Provide de‑identified information from contacts to the FMT.
Act as a subject‑matter expert.
Assist in in‑depth analysis of significant events.
Help develop FOQA content for publications.
Present single or aggregate event data to crewmembers when appropriate.
Support FOQA data collection and accountability.
Attend industry conferences and, upon agreement, present select data.
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in aviation safety or data analysis.
Requirements and Qualifications
ATP certificate required.
Independently make judgment and use discretion.
Familiarity with safety analysis, trending, and risk assessment.
Preference for experience with NetJets Flight Operations.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
