As a Project Controls Leader on our AOMS team, you will support the successful execution of large, complex EPC-type projects within the newly formed Major Projects Group. You will lead all aspects of project controls including planning, scheduling, cost management, risk tracking, and performance reporting across the full lifecycle of major initiatives.
You will report to the Project Director, Major Projects. This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere in the United States, though periodic travel will be required to Diablo Canyon Power Plant in San Luis Obispo, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and maintenance of integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
Establish and manage project baselines for scope, schedule, and cost.
Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) practices to monitor project performance and forecast outcomes.
Report on project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, field operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate data flow.
Prepare and deliver performance reports to internal and external stakeholders, including executive-level summaries.
Support change management processes and ensure alignment with contractual and financial controls.
Provide guidance and mentorship to project controls analysts and junior staff.
Ensure compliance with Westinghouse policies, procedures, and systems.
Relocate to the project site and remain on-site for the duration of the project.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field required.
7+ years of experience in project controls in the nuclear or EPC environment.
Significant experience in financial reporting and cost control.
Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, SAP, and project controls tools (e.g., ARM, Cobra).
Deep understanding of EVM principles, cost control, and schedule integration.
PMI PMP Certification or equivalent preferred.
Project Controls-related certifications (scheduling, estimating, earned value, risk)
Ability to travel and relocate to project site for extended durations.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $130,400.00 to $163,000.00
