Job Summary
The Low Voltage Project Manager is the overall manager for assigned project(s). The Project Manager ensures that all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed and managed in accordance with the Company’s requirements, including but not limited to safety, quality, management and financial performance requirements. All aspects of the assigned project(s) must be carried out as efficiently as possible with respect to staffing, materials management, financial management, customer care and customer delivery goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline and discharge security systems project related staff as necessary.
Effectively manage all human resource issues per company policies and procedures.
Complete recommendations for employee performance ratings, promotions and pay changes.
Provide guidance and mentoring to meet company and customer goals.
Manage workload distribution and monitor delivery and installation progress.
Plan, manage, monitor and maintain project profitability to achieve company goals.
Review all job cost postings for accuracy, including invoices, customer collections and financial reporting.
Manage all quality and safety issues on customer work.
Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
Act as liaison with customer representatives.
Create, develop and implement account process improvements.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Compensation: Min USD $114,400.00/Yr. Max USD $135,200.00/Yr.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
At least a high school diploma or GED equivalency (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.
Minimum of six (6+) years of experience overall.
License required; minimum education: high school.
Technical and Functional Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
Experience in customer interface and liaison between customer and company.
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to define projects, create scope, develop tasks and manage to completion.
Proficiency with project management systems and tools.
Knowledge of safety, quality, and financial management requirements.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Must be self‑motivated, positive, professional, and lead others to implement process improvements.
Must promote company culture and mission.
Must have proven problem‑solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Must read, write, and give oral presentations.
Must interpret blueprints and other project documents.
Must travel within branch or regional territory as needed.
Must maintain a company‑sponsored American Express Card.
Must use specified trade tools (punch tool with 110 block, 66 block blade, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt‑ohmmeter, 4‑pair continuity tester and 5‑gang punch tool).
