Laboratory Operations Supervisor Based in Social Circle, GA (Baxter Pkwy), this supervisory role oversees laboratory operations in a GMP‑compliant setting, ensuring compliance with SOPs, CFRs, CLIA, and Takeda/BioLife policies.

Responsibilities

Supervise day‑to‑day laboratory operations and moderate/high‑complexity testing (50%).

Manage personnel workload and assignments to meet donor center requirements.

Maintain reagent and consumable inventory.

Conduct annual employee performance reviews, counseling, and competency assessments.

Provide technical assistance and on‑site, telephone, or electronic consultation to staff.

Execute NCMR, ENC, and CAPA processes (10%).

Evaluate laboratory systems, processes, and equipment for efficiency, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance; support new test implementations (5%).

Collaborate with Laboratory Quality Assurance to implement and monitor quality systems (10%).

Ensure timely SOP review and change implementation; keep equipment procedures up to date (10%).

Lead operational excellence initiatives (5%) such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and Gemba Walks.

Monitor analytic performance, review QC and testing reports, and ensure compliance with quality standards and schedules (10%).

Assume additional duties as assigned.

Perform remedial actions for test system deviations; validate corrective actions before reporting results.

Conduct staff orientation and perform annual competency evaluation.

Ensure availability of trained personnel, conduct in‑service training, and maintain skill competency.

Determine impact on product quality when deviations occur; contain and implement preventive actions.

Physical Requirements

Stand for 6‑8 hours; lift/​carry up to 25 pounds; perform activities such as walking, bending, stooping, sitting, and leaning.

Potential exposure to blood‑borne pathogens.

Essential Requirements

Doctoral, master’s, or bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical, medical laboratory science, medical technology, or nursing from an accredited institution.

Associate degree in a related field is acceptable.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in medical technology.

Previous laboratory supervisory experience.

MT or MLT certification from ASCP or equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits U.S. Base Salary Range: $86,500.00 – $135,960.00.

Eligible for short‑term and long‑term incentive compensation, 401(k) with company match, medical/dental/vision plans, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, company holidays, 80 sick hours, and 120 paid vacation hours.
