Materials Manager
to manage the supply chain, ensure proper planning and delivery of material, and maintain an accurate inventory of materials within the facility. This full-time position works

DAY TO DAY AS A MATERIALS MANAGER In this fast-paced role, you'll ensure all material is available to support production. You'll manage vendor relationships and verify proper quality, cost and delivery of incoming materials. All materials must be inspected, bar coded, stored, and staged for the production team. You'll manage and train Materials Coordinators to ensure best practices are being followed for moving products in and out of the facility. You'll establish an accurate and timely process to validate inventory accuracy. To be successful in this role, you'll need excellent communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize job duties in order to meet deadlines.
Roles & Responsibilities
Subject matter expert in inventory and planning systems with responsibility for training, coaching, and developing team members to ensure consistent adherence to Knapheide supply chain processes.
Facilitate master production scheduling and SIOP processes to ensure accurate short and long term production and materials planning.
Maintain industry leading inventory control including inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and minimal slow moving or obsolete material.
Facilitate and actively participate in daily and weekly production and materials reviews to provide updates and maintain awareness of order-specific material challenges.
Support data collection and analysis for daily operations management and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a material planning capacity. ( or a High School Diploma /GED with at Least 10 years of experience in material planning capacity.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred
Strong knowledge of manufacturing disciplines, including production and inventory control, with a commitment to SQDC principles.
Proficiency in ERP and inventory management systems.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a variety of teams
Data analysis expertise with a focus on driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with Lean principles, including Standard Work, Value Stream Management, Flow, Structured Problem Solving, and Takt Time.
