Document Control Specialist - Port Arthur, TX
HGA is seeking a Document Control Specialist to support operations in Port Arthur, TX. This role is responsible for managing, reviewing, and maintaining technical documents and drawings within the project document control system. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of engineering drawings and CAD-based documents, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, organize, and maintain controlled project documents and drawings
Review and work within CAD-based drawings for document control purposes (no design or drafting required)
Read and interpret P&IDs and other engineering drawings, including recognition of symbols and drawing types
Ensure document accuracy, version control, and compliance with site and project requirements
Coordinate document flow between engineering, construction, and operations teams
Upload, track, and retrieve documents using a proprietary document management system
Support audits and ensure documentation meets site-specific and safety requirements
Qualifications
Prior experience in document control or technical document support within an industrial or construction environment preferred
Working knowledge of CAD drawings and engineering documentation (P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, etc.)
Ability to recognize drawing types and symbols without performing design or drafting work
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to learn new software systems quickly (training provided on proprietary system)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

(receipt not sufficient)
Ability to complete site-specific safety training
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
