Convergint is looking for a full‑time Project Manager to join our vibrant culture. In this role, you will manage all phases of assigned projects, ensuring they are executed within budget, time, cash flow, safety, and quality expectations, while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from award through completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and field installation.
Translate customer needs into detailed proposals and project implementation plans.
Negotiate contracts, supervise design engineering and installation labor, and oversee subcontractors.
Prepare and maintain accurate project schedules, change proposals, invoices, and financial reports.
Communicate project status, risks, and changes to the team and customers regularly.
Identify potential risks and implement strategies to minimize impact and control deviations.
Monitor procurement of materials, supplies, and services to ensure timely, cost‑effective completion.
Review contract scope, cost control, delivery fulfillment, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Perform additional duties as requested.
What You’ll Need
Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation, fire alarm, electronic security, AV systems).
Coaching, mentorship, and staff development skills with a solid leadership orientation.
Team leadership, building, and facilitation skills.
Initiative, proactive behavior, adaptability, and strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills, conflict resolution, and financial cost‑control awareness.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Basic understanding of IT networking principles.

Requirements Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
Associate’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum Experience: 3 years relevant engineering, field service, or project management.
Preferred Experience (but Not Required)
Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation and/or AV systems.
Previous project supervisory experience.
Certifications & Licenses: PMI certification, industry‑specific certifications, and/or valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
