A well‑established produce grower/shipper/packer is searching for an experienced Bilingual Packinghouse Manager to join their team in South Florida. Responsibilities

Maintain a preventative maintenance program with inspection records for coolers and machinery to ensure peak seasonal performance. Implement a quality assurance program with accountability and random inspections to ensure package quality. Set proper staffing levels for each process to maximize labor efficiency and control costs. Identify improvements and leverage data (e.g., labor cost) to meet efficiency goals. Establish and enforce a FIFO rotation process for forklift drivers and use cooler space strategically for load staging. Keep monthly inventory records of boxes, labels, pallets, chemicals, and packing materials. Procure items such as boxes, stickers, labels, pallets, strapping, chemicals, and maintenance supplies at best available terms, maintaining pre‑arranged inventory levels. Communicate regularly with office staff on plans and purchases. Communicate with sales team on excess inventory or load‑ready product. Communicate with farmers on harvest schedules for optimal facility use. Collaborate with production and shipping to ensure timely fulfillment of orders. Report any unresolved issues outside of role authority to ownership promptly. Maintain all necessary Food Safety records (e.g., Coastal Ag compliance). Prepare for and lead the annual food safety inspection with the Primus auditor. Oversee setup, operations, and inventory for remote facilities. Advise and support remote teams during their seasons. Keep the facility and grounds clean and operational, coordinating work with in‑house labor and contractors as needed. Lead by example: coach staff with hands‑on training and performance talks. Maintain the Packhouse floor organized — clear of clutter and well‑arranged. Participate in strategic planning with owners and growers. Qualifications

Must be bilingual (English/Spanish). In‑depth knowledge of order fulfillment in food production with fresh produce. Experience with Produce Quality Assurance regulations. Available to travel up to 4 months/year to support packing locations (e.g., Kentucky, Georgia). Work long hours, including 7 days/week during the peak season. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Organized, detail‑oriented. Strong analytical problem‑solving skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Compensation & Benefits

Base pay: $90,000 - $120,000 per year. Discretionary bonus, medical benefits, Simple IRA, relocation assistance. Job Details
