Summer Camp Operations Manager (Seasonal)
Full‑time, 2026 Summer Camp Team supporting overnight camp programs across all Council properties: Camp Mary Atkinson, Camp Graham, Camp Hardee, and Camp Mu‑Sha‑Ni.
Position:
Summer Camp Operations Manager
Location:
Camp Mary Atkinson, Selma, NC (with travel to other Council camps as needed)
Duration:
Summer 2026 (mid‑May through the end of July)
Compensation:
Weekly salary of $530.00, including housing and meals after training. Up to a $500 bonus: $250 Mid‑Summer Bonus and $250 Completion Bonus.
Responsibilities
Supervise campers and staff, reporting directly to the Camp Director.
Direct overall business operations: purchasing, communications (Facebook, camper email service), photography, customer service, and financial records.
Plan and lead camp activities, fostering a safe and engaging environment.
Maintain inventory, cash management, and office equipment use.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, emergency procedures, and behavior‑management techniques.
Assist with first aid and emergency response as required.
Provide regular reports and updates to camp leadership.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Experience in business or office settings, including ordering, inventory, cash management, and office equipment use.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication; ability to interact with all age levels.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
Optional on‑site housing; willingness to work irregular hours and live in a camp setting.
Physical Aspects of the Job
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Physical ability to respond to emergencies and maintain constant supervision of campers.
Manual dexterity for computer and office equipment use.
Endurance for prolonged standing, walking, hiking, and mild physical tasks.
