Supervisor Warehouse Distribution Operations - Ammonia
Join the team as a Warehouse Distribution Operations Supervisor (Ammonia) at
The Mosaic Company , the world’s leading integrated producer of concentrated phosphate and potash. The position is based in Hookers Point, Tampa, FL (3222 Maritime Blvd, 33605) and offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
You will oversee operations at our Central Florida Anhydrous Ammonia Terminals, coordinating with Facility and Supply Chain departments, managing crews, leading training, safety meetings, and stepping in for the Operations Manager when needed. In addition, you will lead a team of operating mechanics, terminal operators, and a terminal crew lead, and assist with change management processes and capital projects.
What You’ll Do
Provide work direction to the team
Manage performance issues
Develop and coach employees to retain and grow organizational talent
Oversee operations activities for inbound and outbound shipments of anhydrous ammonia
Assign preventive maintenance work orders
Conduct monthly safety tailgates and review all incident or near‑miss reports with employees
Develop and implement process improvements and capital projects
Manage training requirements for all employees and contractors
Serve as element owner for Mosaic Management System elements
Attend external meetings with port partners and response agencies
What You’ll Need
HS/GED
5+ years of experience in operations and/or maintenance with industrial equipment
1+ year of leadership experience
Experience planning and executing improvement projects
Ability to lead teams effectively and train/develop their skills
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and general computer literacy
Bonus Point If You Have The Following
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, management, or related field and 5+ years operational experience
Working knowledge of applicable maritime regulations and requirements
Hazardous chemical or process chemical experience
Process Safety Management experience
