The Michigan Community Service Commission (MCSC) sponsors VISTA projects throughout the state to empower low‑income communities and help underserved youth succeed in school and careers. Opportunities exist in mentoring, education, health, and economic development, among others.

Member Duties

Commit to a full‑time year of service, helping organizations increase capacity to serve more individuals in poverty.

Recruit and manage youth and adult volunteers to implement impactful programs.

Build community connections, fundraising, grant writing, and program development to enhance service capacity.
