Sentara Louise Obici Hospital is hiring

Emergency Department Technicians

for full‑time evening and night schedules. The ED Technician assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency and minor emergency care patients and performs patient procedures and treatments under their supervision. Requirements and Qualifications

New incumbents must have one of the following in addition to the minimum education: EMT‑B with state or national certification at time of hire Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School – qualified MMAC candidates Current student enrolled in a clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester within the program Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the above criteria. Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Certification/Licensure

BLS certification within 90 days of hire Experience

Clinical experience (Required) De‑escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire Benefits
