Overview The Roads and Highways Practice is seeking a Transportation Project Manager in Boise, ID, Coeur d’Alene, ID, Pocatello, ID, or Spokane, WA.
Role Summary DEA’s Inland Northwest group is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to support our Roads and Highways team. This role will focus on project management, team leadership, and business development, contributing to the delivery of complex transportation infrastructure across the region.
What You’ll Do
Lead pursuit and project management efforts for bridge, roadway, freeway, highway corridor, and interchange planning/design projects
Oversee project execution to ensure on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality deliverables
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams
Review engineering documents for compliance with scope, standards, and DEA’s quality expectations
Help attract, develop, and retain top talent, while managing performance and supporting career growth
Collaborate with the Group Leader to achieve business metrics including sales, backlog, utilization, profitability, and client satisfaction
Ensure adherence to DEA’s firm‑wide tools, processes, and policies related to project budgeting, contracting, and quality management
What You Bring
15+ years of transportation engineering experience, with at least 3 years in project management or as a design lead
Strong background working with public agencies such as ITD, WSDOT, and LHTAC
Expertise in roadway or bridge design, including hands‑on experience with OpenRoads Designer
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Licensed PE in Idaho and Washington or ability to obtain within 6 months
