Summary Energy Transfer is looking for a Deal Capture Analyst to join our Crude Accounting team in Houston, Texas. We foster a culture of curiosity‑encouraging our team to ask "why," transform data into actionable insights, and embrace technology to streamline and strengthen our processes.
The Deal Capture team maintains crude marketing master data required for contracts, transportation, regulatory reporting, and payments. Acting as a key liaison between marketing and accounting, the essential duties of this position are designed to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of master data to support seamless operations and reliable settlements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
Respond timely to daily marketing requests and appropriately prioritize commercial needs
Apply knowledge and conduct thorough cross‑source research to maintain the accuracy of our contract master data
Perform in‑depth analyses to proactively detect and resolve discrepancies, preventing downstream operational or accounting issues
Review contract documentation prior to execution, upholding completeness and accuracy
Identify and resolve routine issues independently
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Stay current with accounting systems and data transformation tools to enable input to management regarding operational improvements

The Associate Specialist/Analyst level requires a bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant job‑related experience
The Specialist/Analyst level requires a bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job‑related experience
The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of relevant job‑related experience
Working Conditions
Usually, normal office working conditions.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
