About VOA Volunteers of America Colorado is a nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in-need transform their lives. Through more than 50 distinct human service programs, VOA changes the lives of more than 140,000 vulnerable Coloradoans each year. VOA services include housing and emergency shelters, hunger and nutrition services, and many other community support programs. Responsibilities
The Resident Service Coordinator at Sunset Park is directly responsible for the service provision and housing assistance for the residents in the Affordable Housing Portfolio. This program serves individuals in a supportive housing model who were chronically unhoused (which includes having a physical or mental health disability). Service modalities include Trauma Informed Care, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing and Critical Time Intervention.
Conduct needs-based assessments, community outreach, provide case management services, assist with resource navigation, support housing retention, connect residents to income resources and/or public benefits, facilitate landlord mediation.
Attend meetings/trainings within the community, collaborate with care providers and multi-disciplinary teams. Empower the residents to live independently and develop life skills.
Coordinate and/or facilitate health, wellness, and educational programs tailored to residents’ needs to improve wellbeing and foster a strong sense of community.
Maintain existing partners and establish new partnerships to expand opportunities and resources for residents.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Willing to use a vehicle for service provision.
Works in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting.
Position Details Full Time – 40 hours per week.
Position Pay Range: $21.00/hr. – $24.00/hr. (Starting Pay based on experience).

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavioral science, social work, or a closely related field; or 2 years related experience.
At minimum, one full year of working with chronically unhoused populations and/or people with mental health or physical disabilities.
Colorado driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance.
Willing to obtain first aid, AED, and CPR certifications and keep current.
Criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Mental Health experience preferred.
Case Management experience preferred.
Crisis intervention experience preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
Expert written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
High level of competency working with Microsoft Office suite and cloud-based applications.
Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strong organization and case management skills.
