Schedule:

Monday – Friday with occasional Saturdays, 8 AM – 5 PM

Salary:

$58,000 / yr plus annual incentive bonus

Benefits:

4 weeks PTO in first year

Position Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Teller Manager is to assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission—to positively impact the lives of our members, team members, and community through meaningful connections and progressive financial solutions. This is accomplished by identifying member needs, supervising the teller area, guiding tellers in the efficient and accurate handling of member needs, resolving member problems, and ensuring high levels of accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.

Responsibilities:

Ensure team members provide efficient and accurate service to members for all transactions (account status, check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, eService issues, in person and over phone).

Maintain department standards and policies.

Oversee teller operations including scheduling, work assignment, problem‑solving for complex transactions.

Explain policies and procedures to tellers and members as necessary.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and updates.

Train and cross‑train team members in all job phases.

Cross‑sell all products and services to meet member needs.

Meet and exceed minimum performance expectations.

Maintain effective relationships and resolve team member issues.

Evaluate performance via timely appraisals with positive feedback.

Lead regular team meetings on operations, improvements, new products, and policy changes; encourage open communication.

Assist or perform audits of teller outages and initiate disciplinary actions when required.

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree preferred.

Minimum one year experience in the financial industry.

Minimum one year supervisory experience.

Previous sales experience required.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge of federal regulations: Right to Financial Privacy Act; Regulation E (EFTS); Regulation CC (Funds Availability); Regulation Z (Truth in Lending); Truth in Savings Act; Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
