Job Description As a Quality Coordinator on our 2nd shift team, you will be at the heart of our food safety and quality assurance efforts. You will play a key role in ensuring that every ingredient meets our high standards, every record is accurate, and every process supports a safe and efficient production environment. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contribute to continuous improvement, and help us deliver products that meet both regulatory and customer expectations. In this onsite position, you will report to the Senior Quality Specialist in the Macon plant.
How Will You Affect Our Business?
Ingredient Oversight & Documentation
Monitor incoming ingredients for compliance with specifications (COAs, sampling, testing)
Ensure shelf‑life and temperature requirements are met; document noncompliance
Manage raw material hold processes and communicate disposition with Logistics
Supplier & Vendor Collaboration
Follow up on vendor issues using FoodLogiq; resolve COA discrepancies
Coordinate with Supplier Quality on ingredient disposition and compliance
Production Support & Auditing
Conduct weekly audits of production areas; provide feedback to supervisors
Review batch records for accuracy and regulatory compliance
Support sanitation evaluations, pest control, and GMP training
Quality & Safety Leadership
Participate in HACCP evaluations and continuous improvement projects
Collaborate with operations teams to address quality concerns and resolve complaints
Testing & Data Analysis
Coordinate sample collection for microbiological and chemical analysis
Track physical attribute data; identify trends or shifts
Team Engagement
Communicate across departments to support quality and safety goals
Lead training sessions on food safety and documentation practices
Additional Duties
Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support quality and safety efforts
Do You Have What It Takes?
1+ years in a quality assurance role (food or packaging preferred)
HACCP experience and strong computer skills is a plus
This is a hands‑on role—expect to be on the production floor conducting audits and checks
Must be able to work shifts that include weekends
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and work in varied climate conditions
Collaborative mindset and commitment to excellence
High school diploma or GED
Compensation:
Pay Range:$49,000-$65,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
