Summary
A leading mechanical service company in Florida is seeking a Project Manager to represent the Jacksonville area. The company is a full-service mechanical contractor providing HVAC, plumbing, piping and related mechanical construction and maintenance services for commercial and industrial projects. The position is primarily responsible for overseeing design-build, construction management, and construct-only projects from initial assignment through final completion.
Responsibilities
Prepare and submit monthly progress invoices and manage accounts receivable follow-up.
Maintain and strengthen client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Review, track, and manage project schedules to ensure timely execution.
Oversee project budgets, purchasing, and cost control activities.
Coordinate and manage the submittal process from preparation through approval.
Administer purchase orders and oversee subcontractor agreements.
Lead project planning efforts and maintain clear communication with internal project teams.
Develop and maintain monthly financial forecasts for projects exceeding $100K.
Support the contract review and compliance process.
Price, document, and track change order requests (CORs).
Ensure all project closeout documentation and requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Manage RFIs, including preparation, tracking, and resolution.
Qualifications
Prior experience, leadership skills, and proven record of successful projects to manage large complex projects or multiple projects.
Experience in overseeing the work of two (2) or more Assistant Project Managers.
Bachelor”s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent required.
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in construction, design, management, and finance.
Prior experience managing resources including budgets, schedules, people, and materials in an environment of multiple, competing demands.
Prior experience using Coins and Procore softwares is a plus.
