We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lumber Yard Foreman to join our team in Grand Isle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operations in the lumber yard, including managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of lumber yard staff

Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed

Ensure that all safety regulations are followed at all times

Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments of lumber for quality and accuracy

Train new employees on proper procedures and safety protocols

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

Lumber Experience a Must

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor conditions

Knowledge of lumber types and grades

Forklift certification is a plus
