The Senior Business Operations Analyst functions as an integral member of the James Business Operations team at The James. The Business Operations Senior Analyst, James Business Development, provides comprehensive support of the Department including decision support and implementation of strategic growth plans, operational, financial, administrative, and other business activities across the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center ("OSUWMC") system. This includes business analytics and oversight of key financial and operational metrics for Business Development programs and initiatives, including Destination Medicine (DM), the James Cancer Network (JCN), and Digital Pathology (DP). Responsibilities
Fiscal management: budget development and performance, capital requests, month end reporting, variance analysis and on-going forecasting and trends analysis; Monthly and quarterly financial reporting for Department programs; Invoicing and maintaining other financial processes/procedures for Department programs; Operational metrics, tools (internal and external benchmarking), and dashboards; Position control management: submits position requests, reviews staff payroll activities and initiates/maintains costing allocations in accordance with budget/function; Resource stewardship initiatives; Contract management: maintain external agreements and internal service letter agreements (SLAs) and memorandum of understanding (MOUs); Project/operational support; Audit coordination and compliance; Strategic planning; All other administrative and operational management matters specific to the Department. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field. 4 or more years of accounting or finance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Significant experience gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Demonstrated analytical skills that emphasize critical and inquisitive thinking with a high level of attention to detail. Proficiency with Excel and database applications, including applying basic mathematical functions, experience creating and formatting pivot tables and vlookups. Proficiency with most Microsoft office applications. Additional Information
