GENERAL SUMMARY:
Roland Park Country School located in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced and highly motivated JV Golf Head Coach. As a school committed to educating and supporting the growth and development of each student, RPCS fosters an environment where students thrive by lifting each other up and leading for the greater good.
This is a part-time paid position that reports to the Co-Directors of Athletics and works closely with all members of the RPCS Athletic Department including the Varsity Golf Head Coach. The Upper School spring season begins February 17 and runs through the beginning of May. The JV golf schedule is two to three days per week, dependent on course and facility availability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports and executes the vision for the golf program at RPCS as communicated by the Athletic Department and the Varsity Golf Head Coach.
Fosters strong relationships with the athletes and inspires them to achieve their best.
Implements proven coaching techniques and approaches that result in continued growth and success of the program.
Develops the skills of all of the golf student-athletes in ways that prepare them for competition performance and potential Varsity level participation in the future.
Works in coordination with the athletic administrative team on scheduling, competition prep, transportation, uniforms, and facilities.
A strong communicator with all constituencies.
An enthusiastic supporter of all aspects of the RPCS community life including academics, arts and the entire athletic department.
Other reasonable duties as assigned from time to time by the Varsity Golf Head Coach and/or Co-Directors of Athletics.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Local travel may be required for practices, competitions, and other program-related activities.
Compensation and Benefits:
Stipend : $2,000 for season; 2-3 days per week
