One of our clients is seeking a School Psychologist CLIENT'S AVAILABLE HOURS Part Time or Full-Scheduled Role
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY The School Psychologist will provide psychological services to students, including evaluations, interventions, and consultation. The School Psychologist will collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote students' academic achievement, social-emotional development, and behavioral success. For a full-scheduled role, the schedule would be 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. For part-time, the role would be 3 days onsite and 1 day remote.
This position will cover three elementary schools, primarily focused on re-evaluations, but may also involve new evaluations as needed. The School Psychologist will also be assigned to three junior high schools, where the focus will primarily be on backlog and re-evaluations. Attendance at ARD meetings will be required for both elementary and junior high schools.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Valid Texas Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) credential
Compliance with Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP) requirements
Experience conducting psychological evaluations (cognitive and achievement evaluations, not just psychological evaluations)
Understanding of child and adolescent development, learning processes, and mental health needs
Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) preferred
At least two years of experience in a school setting preferred
Ability to conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Our client will provide laptops, iPads, and all other necessary technology to perform the job.
