General Purpose:
Oversees and manages overall repair and maintenance of the facility and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Implements and oversees the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all landscaping across Club grounds and golf course, ensuring the highest standards.
Manages contracts and contracted services that pertain to the maintenance of the facility and grounds
Ensures the safe and proper use, storage, application, and disposal of chemicals, pesticides, and other materials, applying Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices.
Oversees the operation of mechanical and power equipment utilized in the maintenance of the grounds
Communicates any changes or new policies and procedures to department heads
Coordinates the scheduling and execution of projects, including the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel.
Inspects landscapes daily, identifies issues, implements solutions, and recommends long-term improvements.
Manages department personnel, providing coaching, training, guidance, and performance evaluations, while promoting safety and efficiency.
Drives continuous improvement by staying current with industry best practices, design trends, and new technologies through seminars, site visits, and technical literature.
Education/Experience:
Associates (AA) degree; or two to three years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in managing personnel.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
3-5 years of experience in commercial landscaping
Strong working knowledge of plant materials, irrigation, chemical uses and applications, and turf management
Ability to manage multiple tasks and team members
Ability to promote a positive work environment and strong team leadership
Ability to work early mornings and some weekends/holidays.
Ability to organize and delegate job duties and needed resources
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
