Social Service Director
The director of social service will manage the social service department. This is a leadership role the person would be responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising social service programs for our long term and short-term residents.
Manage all aspects of the Social Services department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Supervise, guide, and support Social Services staff to maintain high standards of care.
Conduct assessments and develop care plans to address residents' physical, emotional, and social needs.
Implement therapeutic programs and interventions for residents.
Advocate for residents' rights and serve as a liaison between residents, families, and staff.
Ensure accurate documentation and maintain records according to regulatory standards.
Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support for residents and their families.
Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings related to resident care.
Experience
Master’s degree in social work.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in social services, including at least 2 years in a long-term care (LTC) or short-term rehabilitation setting.
Strong knowledge of regulations governing skilled nursing, LTC, and rehab services.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
