JASAChat
connects volunteers with older adults in New York City for weekly phone or video chat. These friendly check‑ins help reduce social isolation and build meaningful, intergenerational friendships.
Flexible commitment:
Just 15–60 minutes a week, scheduled around your availability.
Remote opportunity:
All you need is a phone or internet access.
Over 750 long‑lasting matches have been made to date!
3‑month minimum initial commitment
Volunteers must be 18+
Background check required (at no cost to you)
Volunteers attend a 45‑minute virtual training and receive support throughout the duration of your relationship!
