Lx Design Studio is hiring an intermediate architect / Job captain with a minimum of 3 years experience to join our growing architectural design firm specializing in custom residential, hospitality and commercial projects. We pride ourselves on creating architecture that exceeds our clients’ expectations with architecture that is innovative, sustainable, and enhances the way we live, work and play.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to grow with our young firm. We encourage people who are detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to take on challenges to contact us. Working at Lx Design Studio allows you the opportunity to be involved in projects from conception thru completion.
Applicants should have a degree in architecture from an accredited college, 3 years minimum working experience in design through construction document phases, including construction document preparation / management, consultant coordination, and proficiency in REVIT. Proficiency with Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite programs and Lumion rendering is a plus.
This role involves managing projects with strong design sensibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a professional, self-directed way. This role can be flexible with remote work / hybrid/ or full time in office. US residents only.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the principal
Lead project development from early design through construction
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and suppliers
Coordinate drawing packages and review shop drawings
Participate in project meetings and site visits as needed
Produce high-quality design and technical documents using Revit
Manage project timelines and deliverables
Qualifications
Accredited degree in architecture
Minimum 3 years of experience
Strong skills in 3d design drawing (Revit, SketchUp,)
Strong design and detailing ability
Confident communicator, able to build and maintain relationships
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
Familiarity with residential and small public building types
