Job Summary The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse works in collaboration with other members of the health care team to protect, promote and optimize health and ability, prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocate in the care of individuals and families. The RN incorporates creative factors from Watson’s theory into his/her practice and follows hospital policies, the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, professional standards, the Code of Ethics for Nursing, and the institution’s nursing philosophy.
Qualifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
Registered Nurse (RN).
Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree.
