Responsibilities & Requirements Job Requirements:
Perform all clinical aspects of respiratory care for adults, geriatric, and pediatric patients.
Alveolar recruitment therapy.
Lung expansion therapy (incentive spirometry).
Aerosolized medication delivery systems.
Medical gas systems.
Ventilator initiation, management, and troubleshooting for adult and pediatric patients.
Bronchial hygiene therapy.
Arterial blood gas puncture, analysis, and interpretation.
Non‑invasive monitoring systems.
Infection control procedures.
Non‑invasive ventilation.
Bronchoscopy assist.
Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner from Ohio.
BLS and ACLS certification.
Graduate of an associate degree or higher accredited Respiratory Care program.
One year of practice as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred.
Quality assessment skills and independent critical thinking; ability to use therapist‑driven protocols to drive patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform high-level clinical respiratory care under indirect technical supervision as assigned.
Demonstrate a strong approach to all network initiatives and be a role model for KHN mission, vision, and values.
Perform respiratory procedures on a day-to-day basis under indirect supervision for all age groups as specified by departmental policy.
Apply independent clinical judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures.
Maintain productivity at or above required levels.
Ensure correct documentation of all records.
Occasionally serve as Lead Therapist, shift team leader, or clinical instructor as assigned.
