Full Time, 4–10 hour shifts.
Clinic Responsibilities
Perform procedures such as sedation.
Start IV push medications.
Telephone triage, in-basket, etc.
Team player with strong communication and assessment skills.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year RN inpatient hospital experience.
ACLS Certificate required. BLS required.
Pre/Post experience preferred.
Strong communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Collaborative team player with a positive approach to problem-solving.
Skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing clinical needs.
Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
Proficient in IV insertion and management.
Previous experience in pre and post operative care preferred.
General Summary Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.
Education & Experience
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
Preferred experience in the specialty.
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
Certifications & Licenses
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
Certification may be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, e.g., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
BSN Requirement All registered nurses must have a BSN or be willing to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of start date, obtain the BSN within 5 years.
