Surgical Tech Certified
As a Surgical Technologist you will be a central figure in the operating room team, meticulously preparing and maintaining the sterile field for surgical procedures and actively anticipating the needs of the surgical team. Every day you will set up the sterile operating room, organize instruments and supplies according to surgeon preference cards, and assist the surgeon, registered nurse and anesthesiologist during procedures. You will also manage the sterile supply flow, perform accurate surgical counts, and ensure strict adherence to aseptic technique and all safety protocols from pre‑operative preparation through post‑operative cleanup.
To be successful in this role you will combine exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of surgical instrumentation and sterile procedures and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to anticipating needs and a collaborative spirit, all dedicated to supporting positive patient outcomes and seamless surgical operations.
Job Requirements
Minimum of six months experience in an acute care Surgery Department and the ability to perform as scrub personnel in all specialties.
OR Tech Certified required.
CPR/BLS Certification required.
Preferred
Completion of Operating Room Technician Training Course preferred.
