Controller (SaaS/ NetSuite Experience)

Position Summary The Controller will lead the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting for a high-growth SaaS organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and scaling accounting processes to support growth. The ideal candidate has deep SaaS industry experience, strong technical accounting knowledge, and hands‑on expertise with NetSuite.

This position features two days of remote work per week.

Responsibilities

Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue accounting

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Manage SaaS‑specific accounting areas including revenue recognition (ASC 606), deferred revenue, subscriptions, usage‑based billing, and customer contracts

Own and maintain NetSuite, including system configuration, reporting, integrations, and process improvements

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

Develop and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and scalability

Partner with FP&A, Sales Ops, and Revenue Operations to ensure accurate billing, forecasting, and reporting

Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements; serve as primary contact for external auditors

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, LTV, CAC)

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team as the organization scales

Assist with system implementations, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives

$110,000 - $140,000 a year
