Full-time Shipping Associate Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a similar role and be proficient in operating forklifts, managing inventory, and using RF scanners. This full-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of shipments, maintaining inventory levels, and contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

Process outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload products and materials

Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and ensure accuracy in the warehouse management system

Perform regular cycle counts and participate in full inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy

Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling

Verify shipment contents against packing lists and order forms

Inspect outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations

Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and improve efficiency

Assist in receiving incoming shipments and properly storing items in designated areas

Troubleshoot and resolve shipping-related issues as they arise

Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and other relevant data

Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth operations

Stay updated on shipping regulations, best practices, and industry trends

Required Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics role

Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment

Experience with inventory management systems and practices

Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management software

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds

High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics certifications are a plus

Valid forklift operator certification

Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field

Experience with major shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS) and their systems
